This blog post is about New Year resolutions for Moms

Embracing a new year is an opportunity for us busy moms to set realistic resolutions that cater to our lifestyles. I shared 10 Achievable Resolutions for Every Busy Mom and I have many more for you to choose from.

Here are 22 New Year resolutions tailored just for you and me.

Whether you are a mom who works from home, works outside the home, or stays at home while juggling a business and family, you deserve to achieve the personal goals you have set for yourself. The new year presents an opportunity to reset your life and work towards the dream lifestyle you envision for yourself and your loved ones. Let’s make this year count!

The truth is that nothing magically changes in the New Year, the only way you will experience any change is to identify what needs to change and take action to start living a life you are excited about.

1. Prioritize Self-Care:

Dedicate time each week for self-care activities, whether it’s reading, taking a bath, or practicing mindfulness.

As someone who is busy, there will be competing priorities but I have realized that only the things we prioritize get done.

As a busy mom who is growing her business and with a toddler all day, I realized that my self-care has taken the back burner, but a way that I am changing that is by adding self-care into my schedule. If I can fit it in my calendar then it gets done.

To take care of myself, I schedule my self-care activities to coincide with my child’s nap time. During this period, I can enjoy a facial, soak in the tub, or engage in any other self-care activity that rejuvenates my soul. This is not just a luxury, but it is a necessity for your well-being.

2. Establish a Morning Routine:

Create a morning routine that allows for a calm and organized start to the day. The way you start your morning sets the tone for the entire day. Craft a morning routine that promotes tranquility and organization.

Begin with a few moments of quiet reflection, engage in light stretching, and plan your day. A calm morning paves the way for a more harmonious day, helping you face challenges with grace.

Please note that this can be difficult if you aren’t also going to bed at a reasonable time. A morning routine that works also coincides with a good night’s rest.

3. Delegate Responsibilities:

Delegate tasks to family members and teach your children age-appropriate responsibilities.

Team Family: Recognize that you don’t have to do it all alone. We may wear the cape of super moms but we are not superhumans.

Every part of the family must be pulling their weight and positively contributing to carrying out the responsibilities in the household, from laundry to cleaning to cooking.

Delegate tasks to family members, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.

Teach your children age-appropriate tasks, not only lightening your load but also instilling valuable life skills in them. A collaborative effort turns daily chores into shared accomplishments.

4. Meal Planning:

Plan meals ahead of time to streamline grocery shopping and meal preparation. Note that meal planning and meal prepping may look different for each household but the fundamentals are still the same.

Putting in the work ahead of time will pay dividends.

Simplify your life by planning meals. Create a weekly menu, make a shopping list, and stick to it.

This not only streamlines grocery shopping but also ensures nutritious meals for your family.

Embrace batch cooking for busy days, providing a delicious homemade alternative to rushed takeout, you can consider one-pot meals, and crockpot meals that are easy to make.

5. Cooking in Batches:

Cook in batches and freeze meals for busy days when cooking from scratch isn’t feasible.

Busy days should not compromise the quality of your family’s meals. Embrace batch cooking on quieter days and freeze portions. I love to ingredient prep for soups and meats and i have seen that this small change has made cooking nutritious meals so much easier.

Doing this will ensure that even on the most hectic days, a wholesome homemade meal is just a thaw away. It’s a game-changer for maintaining a healthy and balanced family diet.

6. Stay Hydrated:

Ensure you’re drinking enough water throughout the day to maintain your energy levels.

I have found that tracking my water intake with a waterbottle that can keep me motivated has been helpful, You can also add this to your nighttime routine, fill your water bottle and put it in the fridge for the next day

During all the chaos of a busy day, it’s easy to forget the basics.

Drinking enough water is a fundamental self-care practice.

Keep a water bottle handy, set reminders, and prioritize hydration.

Proper hydration not only boosts your energy levels but also enhances overall well-being. It’s a simple yet powerful resolution.

12. Organize Home Spaces:
