  1. BUN

  2.  This is by far one of my favorite styles because it’s easy and I can literally wear it for a whole week without being bothered .

There are several variations. High pineapple buns, Low buns, Buns with the ends tucked in and when I’m looking to really hide my hair or take it up a notch, I would attach a fake ponytail.

Pineapple bun

Caring for the bun: Daily spritz of water, and coat with oil before adding your gel ( if needed), Wear a satin bonnet or scarf or lay on a satin pillow at night. Make sure the bun is not too tight, you do not want to add tension to your hair.

2. Crochet Braids/ Crochet Locs

I love crochet braids because you can totally let your hair rest and instead style your extensions. The versatility and possibilities are endless, with crochet locs, crochet Marley hair, braids, etc. some Crochet hair can also be made into updos with can be very elegant.

Caring for your hair under crochet.

Oil your scalp with a light oil that can penetrate your scalp. Coconut oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil are two oils well known to penetrate hair follicles.

3. Afro or Wash and Go

You can simply leave your hair out in all its glory. To make this hair really pop, make sure your hair has a nice shape, and all split ends have been eliminated. This is the perfect style for showing off the health of your natural hair.

Caring for your natural hair means Moisture, Moisture, Moisture!. Spritz lightly with water and apply a little oil to seal your hair follicles. You do not need to go overboard so that you do not cause too much shrinkage.

wash and go

4. Bantu knots

Bantu knots styles make you definitely stand out in a crowd and it shows your hair confidence in my opinion. Another great this about this style is that you can unravel it later in the week to create a twist out. Who doesn’t like a multipurpose style 🙂

Care: spritz with water and apply oil every other day. Moisturizing your hair allows it to stay healthy and not dry out, lose elasticity and break

5.Jumbo flat twists

These are very low manipulation styles that can last you the whole week. I order to get a style that will last, it’s important that the hair is clean, moisturized and detangled. This will allow for better styling and neatness

This style is perfect for work, or other important events where you want your natural hair to shine in all its glory.

Care: Wear a scarf at night to keep your hair neat, lightly spritz with oil and water to keep tresses moisturized.

Remember: Oil is NOT a moisturizer, our hair likes water when it’s thirsty NOT oil. NO matter what style you choose, moisturizing is still very important.
